Job Details

You'll join a highly skilled team of Database Administrators supporting a large enterprise environment across multiple locations in Australia and overseas.

The successful candidate will enhance the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL, and Oracle Databases.

Responsibilities:

Install, create, configure, upgrade, and monitor databases for optimum performance.

Evaluate, recommend, manage, and execute database upgrades and technology enhancements as required.

Provide support to application teams for database-related incidents (PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL, and Oracle Database).

Implement monitoring and health reports to reduce and eliminate issues affecting end users.

Be process-driven and take ownership of issues through to resolution.

Contribute to technical system documentation.

Work within an ITIL framework for all work-related activities (Change, Incident, & Problem management).

Ensure adherence to processes, procedures, and security requirements.

Participate in the team on-call roster.

Requirements

Coupled with your education and practical experience, you will demonstrate a proactive approach, understanding the business, identifying issues, and developing relationships to achieve the company's objectives.

You will also have:

Substantial experience with relevant database technologies.

Experience working with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows Server.

Experience in High Availability and Disaster Recovery scenarios.

Experience managing backup and restoration processes.

Able to build and maintain strong relationships with other teams.

Strong communication and presentation skills.

Self-motivated and engaged.

Proven experience administering, configuring, and managing large-scale database environments.

Relevant certifications or Professional membership relating to PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL, or Oracle Database would be ideal.
