As a Database Administrator, you provide guidance and support to our different Application development teams who deal with more than one database: Maria DB, MySQL, and Oracle DB.
Responsibilities:
• Providing guidance and solutions to the different application development teams during the development lifecycle involving the following activities:
• PL/SQL programming and optimization of stored procedures
• Query optimization and tuning (xplain, trace, )
• Providing a dashboard with statistics of DB usage
• DB tuning (ASH, AWR, Advisor, DB parameters, )
• Writing complex queries (also recursive queries and hierarchical queries)
• Security model (also GDPR)
• Ensure daily DBA operational activities covering:
• DB installations, upgrades, tablespace management
• Design of DB backup, recovery, archiving, and storage strategy
• Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Monitor
• DB capacity planning and performance monitoring
• Daily Monitoring and automation of monitoring on the central console for virtualized environments.
• Day-to-day DBA tasks (import/export, space management -TBS - ASM, problem-solving, ACL, Schema management, security, session, promotion management, application migration to another db, )
• Making the link between the projects and the DBA'S operational team
• Be the first technical support in the scope of the projects and in operations
Requirements:
• Administration of Oracle 11R2 12R1 and 12R2
• APEX 5 (Oracle Express)
• SQL (Oracle style and SQL ANSI standard)
• PL/SQL
• Basic Linux knowledge + scripting
• You master the different skills of DBA and have also experience as a Database developer.
• You are able to work on projects with code written in PL\SQL.
• You have a master's degree in computer science and at least 10 years of relevant experience as a DBA and/or DB developer
• You're passionate about technology
• Certification on one or more of DB technologies is welcome
• You're a fast and eager learner
• Languages: English (very good in reading, writing, and speaking) is a must
