Our client, headquartered in the US, is one of the oldest and most reputed media company in the world. The company aims to build a Cross-Channel Advertising and Analytics Platform for online advertisers and publishers to help them analyze, optimize & maximize revenues.
Their product suites help to create and manage ads for multiple channels, analyze the performance with custom reporting, optimize the ads revenue & above all, automate most of the tasks to reduce repetitive & tedious jobs.
Job Description
The company is building a scalable modern unified Analytics platform for the online Ads industry and are looking for a Database Administrator (MySQL) to keep databases up and running smoothly 24x7 with proper monitoring and alerting systems in place.
• Along with availability, the DBA is expected to take care of Replication & Backups.
• Maintenance of tables & coding is important part of daily tasks.
• Optimization and fine-tuning of queries and routines
• Should have the ability and eagerness to look beyond conventional ways of optimization and increasing performance.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Configure database servers, Monitor and maintain system’s health and security
• Setup and maintain the Replication process.
• Design Backup processes for server and associated data
• Manage the Access control for all users.
• Provide end-to-end technical support and problem resolution
• Should be hands on with Database Development in terms of Architecture, Stored Procedures, Functions and Triggers etc.
Desired Candidate Profile
• Proven 3+ years experience as a Database Administrator using MySQL
• Experience of working with Amazon RDS is a plus.
• Hands-On with database design, documentation and coding in terms of Architecture, Stored Procedures, Functions and Triggers etc. is a must.
• Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL
• Should know how to optimize queries and routines
• Knowledge of NoSQL systems is an advantage
• Familiarity with various MySQL Engines is a plus
• Knowledge of various DBMS like graph based dbms OR columnar dbms is a plus.
• Working knowledge of programming languages API is good to have
• Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically
• Excellent communication skills
