Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting of MySQL DB servers
Performance Tuning of MySQL databases and patching.
Planning, scheduling, and taking MySQL backups and recovery.
Installation, configuration and upgrading of MySQL instance and related products /plugins.
Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases.
Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures.
Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges).
Database performance tuning and monitoring.
Plan growth, scalability, storage management and changes (capacity planning).
Setup and maintain documentation and standards.
Desired Skills:
Degree in Computer Science/ Engineering/ IT with 5 + years of database administration experience Experience in MySQL Administration
DBA with experience in MySQL
Strong knowledge of MySQL database system and related products / plugins
Understanding of MySQL s underlying storage engines
Experience with replication configuration in MySQL
Knowledge of writing stored procedures and functions
Knowledge of project management tools
Exposure SQL/NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL etc
Good knowledge of at least one operating system (Windows / Linux)
Preferably at least 1 year experience is supporting the technologies on AWS Cloud
Preferably having experience in migration from on-premises to AWS cloud
Good customer handling and communication skills
Experience in 24X7 production support
General technical troubleshooting and consultation to development team
