Database Management: Maintain and support Sybase ASE 15.7 and SQL Server environments
Change Control: Work within a formal change control environment to ensure smooth database operations
Troubleshooting: Utilize strong troubleshooting skills to resolve database issues promptly
Migration Assistance: Support the migration from Sybase to SQL Server, including involvement in related projects
Scheduled Tasks: Perform weekly data fixes, particularly on Thursdays and Fridays
On-Call Support: Participate in an on-call rotation from Saturday morning to Monday morning after an initial learning period
Cluster and Disaster Recovery: Manage database clusters and assist with disaster recovery processes in development, test, and production environments
CRON Jobs: Utilize Unix experience to run and develop CRON jobs with command line proficiency
Work Arrangement: This role requires on-site presence for two days per week

Job Description
• Our client is a dynamic team seeking a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to join our growing team. Our environment is a mix of Sybase and SQL Server, with a strategic move to transition entirely to SQL Server over the next few years.

Key Responsibilities:
• Database Management: Maintain and support Sybase ASE 15.7 and SQL Server environments.

Experience:
