Senior SQL Database Administrator Position at Intec Select
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SQL Database Administrator to join our team at Intec Select. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our complex SQL Server estate.
Key Responsibilities:
• Database Administration: Administer and manage the SQL Server and PaaS estate across live and non-live environments.
• Performance Tuning: Perform database performance analysis and tuning to ensure optimal system performance.
• Best Practices: Develop and enforce best practices in database management to maintain high standards.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with data development, Infosec, and Infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Capacity Planning: Plan and execute database capacity strategies to meet business demands.
• Availability and Security: Ensure high availability and security standards across the database infrastructure.
• Technical Support: Provide technical support to developers and end users.
• Project Leadership: Lead database-related projects, including upgrades and migrations.
Requirements:
• Proficiency: Proficiency in SQL Server versions 2016/2017/201+/2026 (Enterprise, Standard, and Express).
• Experience: Experience with SQL Server Availability Groups and performance tuning.
• Skills: Proficiency in SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS administration and deployment.
• Capacity Planning: Ability to design and implement database platforms, including capacity planning, patching, and migrations.
• Azure DevOps: Exposure to SQL Azure DevOps (CI/CD, Repos, Pipelines).
• Non-Relational Databases: Familiarity with non-relational databases like Cosmos DB.
