JD for open source and cloud DB support L2 :Candidate should have 4 to 5 years of extensive experience with database technologies (MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL Oracle, MongoDB)Experience with cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure) a plusMCSE/MCSA certifications preferredExperience with Linux and Windows Server environmentsBuild database systems of high availability and quality depending on each end user's specialised roleDesign and implement database in accordance to end users information needs and viewsDefine users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely mannerUse high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup dataMinimise database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responsesProvide proactive and reactive data management support and training to usersDetermine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standardsPerform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrityMonitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when requiredTroubleshoot application issues and data-related problemsWork with application teams to troubleshoot connection-related issues including SSL configurationSupport application teams making database designs, loading, modifying, and updating dataEnsure the design and execution of database server topology, configuration, and maintenance meet SLA objectivesMonitor for deviation in baseline system performance, and advise on and execute improvements to slow-running queries (ref:hirist.com
