Experience (years) :
6+ (Worked as a DBA for minimum 4 years).
Industry / Technology background :
• Data architecture (or corporate data modelling) experience within a large end-user corporation. Proven data modelling conceptual modelling and logical data modelling.
• Extensive knowledge of data warehousing
• Familiar with data domains, modelling standards, guidelines, best practices, common data patterns
• Educated to degree standard or equivalent
Duties to be performed
• Expert in MySQL, Mongo and Redis
• Responsible for supporting the database and ensuring their performance, availability and security
• Work to ensure that the associated hardware resources allocated to the database and to ensure high resilience and performance tuning.
• To proactively monitor the database system to ensure secure services with minimum downtime
• Responsible for providing trend analysis to management team to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management
• Responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving the database
• Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the database to include rollout and upgrades
• Responsible for implementation and release of database changes according to agreed timescales and costs
• Assist development in creation and maintenance of tables and views.
• Assist Data Migrations.
• Maintain Database Standards document.
