Summary/Objective: An Administrator, Database is responsible for managing performance, integrity, and security of computer databases; and codes, tests and implements physical databases within the Voting Tabulation, Voting Registration and Pollbook segments to meet customer requirements
This position works to coordinate database development as part of a cross functional project team

Recommends solutions by diagnosing and defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, and implementing database security, data back-up, and recovery specifications
Installs revised or new systems by proposing specifications and flowcharts; recommending optimum access techniques; and coordinating installation requirements
Maintains database performance by calculating optimum values for database parameters; implementing new releases; completing maintenance requirements; evaluating computer operating systems and hardware products
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and benchmarking state-of-the-art practices

Qualifications:
Education: bachelor’s degree in computer technology field preferred.
• Experience: At least 6 years experience including:
• Experience with Oracle
• Experience with SQL, PL*SQL, SQL* Plus
• Experience with MSSQL versions 2016, 2019
• SQL tuning
• Experience supporting transactional databases
• SQL Server Availability Groups
