Position OverviewWe’re looking for a DBA or SQL Developer who can jump into a high-impact environment and own the performance, reliability, and structure of our MySQL databases. If you thrive on writing efficient queries, tuning schemas, and ensuring data is always clean, fast, and available, this role is for you.

In This Role, You Will
• Build and optimize queries and indexes for high-traffic production applications
• Work closely with developers to improve app performance and support migrations
• Maintain and administer RDS MySQL environments
• Drive schema evolution, backups, and disaster recovery readiness
• Tune queries, restructure schemas, and ensure peak performance
• Enable internal teams with fast, reliable access to analytics-ready data
• Stay proactive on data integrity, availability, and failover strategies
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to design resilient systems

Take on additional DBA / SQL Developer challenges as needed based on your strengths.

What We’re Looking For
• 3–5+ years as a DBA, SQL Developer, or hybrid Database Engineer
• Strong experience with SQL optimization, indexing, and schema design
• Proficiency in database administration: backups, scaling, performance tuning (preferably AWS RDS)
• Experience with schema migrations and query refactoring in production environments
• Familiarity with building ETL pipelines is a plus, but not the primary focus
• Comfortable working across AWS tools (especially RDS) and navigating cloud infra
• Strong attention to data integrity, automation, and performance monitoring
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and ready to take ownership of key systems
• Collaborative mindset, but also confident working independently

This role is ideal for someone who knows how to make databases fast, clean, and dependable — and enjoys working closely with developers to make that happen.

Bonus: You’ve worked with SaaS, marketing, or call tracking data. You have experience in PHP, Python, or NoSQL.
