Job Description
We are looking for a capable resource to coordinate, ranging from simple activities to more complex plans. This role will provide on-site/ on-call assistance to end-users within the organisation’s desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure optimal service delivery.
About the Team & Role
The Database Administrator will be responsible for managing and driving critical topics related to
Incident Management, Problem Management, High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Backup &
Restore from database point of view.
The role requires expertise in SAP HANA Database administration.
ASE/DB2 – additional experience is welcome.
Involves installation, upgrades, performance tuning, security management, and high availability
strategy implementation.
Experience in working independently in large-scale production environments.
Willingness to work in shifts/on-call model as per business need.
The candidate will also be expected to contribute to automation, scripting, and documentation of
day-to-day operations.
Candidate to be ready with minimal onboarding experience. Max 4 weeks of process onboarding and
to be ready for operations.
NOTE: SAP Basis candidates with minimal HANA DB exposure is not a fit for this role
Role description
Over ++ years of work experience as Database Administrator in Global Operations team (primarily
on SAP HANA and ASE Database Platforms, however any database technology is welcome)
Good Linux Knowledge.
Proven track record of operational experience
and on call experience.
Backup & Recovery, HA/DR Strategy, Scripting & automation exposure
Your role will be Database Administrator driving critical topics related to Incident Management,
Problem Management, High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Backup & Restore.
Exposure to the automation tools /scripting or processes
DB installations and upgrade, Planning, setup and implementation.
Providing technical expertise and support in optimizing and tuning of Systems. Performance
Optimization.
DB Concept on Security, Backup and recovery strategies, performance tuning, System Copies, high
availability, disaster recovery strategy, export-import, replication is a must.
Organize / Structure day-to-day documentation
Cloud knowledge (e.g., experience of working in Public Cloud Domains like Microsoft Azure, AWS,
and GCP) is desirable but not essential. Good to have a Professional
Certification of Database Platforms with exposure to Project Management tasks, including PMP and
ITIL certification.
