IT Database Administrator
Education Requirements - degree and or commercially recognised certified (not essential)

• Work Hours 37.5 hours

Coverage:
· 3+ years experience of DBA
· Extensive experience with data warehouses
· Proven working experience as a Database Administrator
· Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications
· Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL
· Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third party tools
· Familiarity with programming languages API
· Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically
· Excellent understanding of the development life cycle for business apps
· Strong knowledge of logical and physical data modelling concepts
· T-SQL (MS SQL Server 2014, 2012)
· SQL Server engine, performance tuning, storage internals + indexing
· Problem solving, solution architecture and build
· Database & data warehouse design (preferably Kimball), architecture
· SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) 2012, 2014
· SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) 2012, 2014
· SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) 2012, 2014
· MDX & DAX Scripting
· Ability to work on multiple issues.
· Good analytical skills and an ability to define and articulate
· Good communication and interpersonal skills
· Strong time management responsibility / project management skills
Training
On the job training will be provided, and other specific training agreed as required.
