Job Description :Role : Database : 5+ years of experience as DBA and handling enterprise level projects. Complete understanding of all languages related to database (DCL, DDL etc.) Hands on experience of RDBMS, OODBMS and xml database management systems. Hands on experience on MSSQL, MYSQL Knowledge of various data storage technologies & principles of database designResponsibilities : Identify database requirements. Recommend solutions by defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, database security, data back up, and recovery specifications. Install revised or new systems by proposing specifications. Create procedure, functions, triggers, views, clusters, indexes etc. Contribute to team by writing queries for accomplishing related results as needed. Use automation for regression testing with various operating systems and versions of databases and test back up and recovery plans. Use Load balancer for high volume database Monitor performance and manage parameters in order to provide fast responses to front end users. Refine logical design so that it can be translated into a specific data model Refine physical design to meet system storage requirements Install and test new versions of database management system (DBMS) Maintain data standards, including adherence to the data protection act Control access permissions and privileges Ensure that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly. Carry out capacity planning. Work closely with the team to get best results from the project. Communicate regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security Manage the security and disaster recovery aspects of a database. Consult with leads and technical specialists to identify proper hardware and software implementations.
