Database Administrator|Postgress

Job Responsibilities:

· Performance Tuning

· Query analysis and optimization

· Backup (Hot and Cold)

· Recovery and Replication

· Overall system health

· Developing Triggers/Stored Procedures

· Query optimization

· Developing SQL reports and business logic for Multiple Applications.

· Staging, testing and development of database

· Installation & Maintenance Multiple Database servers like: Postgres/My SQL

· HA and Clustering setup for Databases.

· Documentation of schema

· Schema Management, updates and rollbacks.

Role Requirements:

· Minimum 5 year of experience in administration

· Must know about the Sharding Concept.

· Knowledge of SLONY (replication)/PG+ Streaming Replication/Other replication tools

· Complete knowledge of ANSI SQL dialect is a must.

· Database maintenance (hot and full backups, vacuuming, indexing)

· Database optimizations (OS specific (Linux and Solaris) optimizations, query analysis and tuning)

· Should be able to write basic scripts to load data into DB, and export to various formats

· Knowledge of redhat/centOS/other linux OS

· Basic Shell Scripting for automating tasks

· Migrations, database monitoring

· Specifically from Telecom/BFSI industry

· Should know Linux administration as well.

· Worked with Development as well as Admin team.

· B.E/BTECH/MCA to be preferred.
