• Overall 10+ years of experience
• 10+ years of experience with large Data Base, Data Warehouse and Data Mart development and operations activity
• At least 7-8 years of experience in Data Modeling (Dimensional Relational Modeling)
• 5+ years of experience with modern Cloud Data Architectures (using Azure, Snowflake), Big Data Platforms and Microservices Architectures
• 5+ years of experience in managing projects for diversified data management systems.
• Strong experience should be around DWH, Data Performance Management, Data Quality Management, Metadata Management Strategy etc
• 2+ years of experience in developing IT strategy, solutions, and CBA (Cost Benefit Analysis) for Cloud implementations
• Hands on experience with developing high performing scalable cloud architecture for Data products on cloud platforms such as Azure (AWS optional)
• Work with the Application Development team to implement data strategies, build data flows and develop conceptual data models
• Strong experience on Azure Cloud stack such as Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks
• Experience in any reporting tools i.e., Power BI, Tableau
• Design ETL/ELT process and orchestration of data flows
• Monitoring performance and advising any necessary infrastructure changes
• Defining data retention policies
Good To Have
• 5+ years of experience in Advanced Analytics developing AI/ML/DL capabilities
• 5+ years of experience with developing products using MapReduce/Spark, HBase, Kafka and Hive
• Exposure to any programing languages, preferred on Python and Scala
Responsibilities
• Manage an ever-growing cloud based NOSQL and Relational database clusters. Also be involved in everything related to NoSQL and New SQL databases and their deployments, design, maintenance, migrations, administration, configuration, etc.
• Should be hands-on supporting large-scale database running on Azure/AWS
• Proactively identify areas of optimization and troubleshoot database performance issues
• Improve service availability and scalability through tuning, automation, tools, and process
• Implement and maintain database backup and recovery, disaster recovery procedures
• Work closely with various application development teams to ensure database changes adhere to best practices and are properly prioritized and scheduled.
• Perform various audits of existing databases, figure out possible improvements and ways to implement them efficiently
• Designs, creates, and maintains MS SQL databases in on premise and cloud environments.
• Responds to complex customer-reported systems problems in production.
• Reviews database design and makes recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements made by the team members.
• Proficient in data streaming technologies such as Kafka, Spark streaming.
• Good To Have Experience on Cloud Technologies Like Azure
• Developing Advanced Analytics solutions
• Using traditional Bigdata (Spark, Python/Scala based custom model) and Cloud platforms (using Databricks, AutoML, Cognitive Services and other relevant capabilities)
