About the Role
We are looking for Cloud Database Expert who will work with software development team and conduct various design, administration, performance tuning using combination of database optimization techniques, queries and automated workload repositories (AWR) for both development and production database systems maintained at data centre for smart energy domain.
Location: Hyderabad
Reports to: Head – Solution Delivery, Energy Analytics
Responsibilities
Hands on system level knowledge of at least couple of operating systems: Linux - Redhat, Ubuntu, Unix – Solaris. Preference will be one flavour of Linux operating system (e.g., Ubuntu or Red Hat)
Good understanding of networking protocols like TCP/IP, IP addresses, HTTP, DNS.
Security: Experience in cloud security architecture including network, firewall and applications.
Database and related applications implementation and support expertise in to various cloud providers like AWS, Azure & Google Clouds platforms
Experience in related cloud architecture to play vital role in the design, development and implementation, migration of production, staging, QA and development environment using Cloud Infrastructure.
Responsible for capacity planning, HA, backup, recovery, operations, monitoring, change management, upgradations, roll-outs, release management and configuration management of Oracle and PostgreSQL database using supporting cloud infrastructure for current and future needs.
Assess and perform systems utilization, RCA and headroom reports to assist in troubleshooting and performance tuning of database and related systems.
Evaluate and manage existing database and related software and licensing configurations, systems and the design, implementation and management of new/improved systems.
