GURUGRAM - INDIA BASED APPLICATIONS ONLY
Due to the key requirement of needing to be based in our Gurugram, India office we can only
consider applicants in commutable distance of this location. Whilst based in Gurugram, regular
international travel should be anticipated.
Database Developer is responsible for supporting the company wide database for collection and collation of data used to improve the performance of the company. Establishing new processes and systems that enhance and improve on the company’s overall IT capability to drive forwards management of costs and productivity to World Class levels.
Key Functions - Management System
• All personnel shall comply with the company HSEQ requirements as described in the HSEQ Manual and procedures. Also personnel must comply with specified client HSEQ requirements as appropriate.
• All personnel must endeavour to foster a strong safety, health and environmental culture through adherence to the requirements, personal commitment example and behaviour.
Key Functions
• Provide peer review of code and processes prior to deployment to ensure coherent and adhering to procedures
• Develop Control Panel to specifications provided by clients
• Liaise with clients to ensure their requirements are achievable and provide project updates.
• Deliver fully tested and documented solutions
• Provide de-bug and corrective actions to Control Panel
• Provide essential support and maintain near to 100% up-time, liaising with essential IT core team in support of all functions for Control Panel
• To advise HSEQ Manager of non-conformance and support implementation of corrective actions.
• Support problem solving and continuous improvement activities.
• Provide technical support for CP development
Competency Requirements
Education
Good communications skills.
• Good attention to detail.
• Able to advance the technical expertise of the organisation.
• Practical as well as theoretical skills relevant to the appropriate discipline.
Essential:
• PHP development experience in a production or commercial environment
• Firm knowledge and understanding of MySQL structure and administration
• Experience/knowledge of unit testing procedures (PHPUnit)
• Linux knowledge/experience
• Understanding of MVC principles
Desirable:
• PHP Framework experience (Laravel in particular)
• Basic JavaScript skills
• Experience using SCM, preferably Git.
• Understanding of Python,
• Able to plan and manage projects and workloads to achieve timescales
Experience
• 3-5 years in similar High Tech Environment
