EIS EDW is the RealPage Enterprise Data Warehouse for internal corporate applications. As member of our data warehouse team, we look first and foremost for people who are passionate around solving business problems through innovation & engineering practices.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Data Developer will partner with BI Developer, Data/BI Analyst and Key Business leaders to understand their needs and then translates them into building data solutions to empower BI Developer and various business teams with actionable information which will result in improved business performance.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Basic knowledge in Database concepts
Understand functional side of Business requirements.
Able to write complex queries like joins, windows functions & aggregations.
Troubleshoot issues related to package debugging, performance, configuration, and migration.
Develop stored procedures & user-defined functions.
Identifying opportunities for process and tool improvements and drive those from concept to implementation.
Respond to requests from business areas to design, build, maintain, or modify ETL packages.
Able to analyze and optimize SQL queries and provide tuning recommendations.
Attains knowledge of the data warehouse and corresponding business information
Communicate open items and issues to management and development teams.
Ability to produce clear, concise documentation on new and existing ETL packages.
Technical SKILLS/ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
Knowledge on data preparation and data warehousing concepts.
Knowledge on Database objects(Stored Procedures, SP’s, triggers, Views etc..) and Data normalization techniques.
Basic programming language experience with SQL, C# or VB.net, PowerShell and VBA
Basic knowledge on deployment model, Custom Error handling, Alert and Log mechanisms
Knowledge of MS SSIS architecture and best practices for developments/implementations
Experience in documenting functional and technical design.
Excellent communication skill (both verbal and written) with overseas client handling experience.
SQL server administration knowledge, including knowing the basics of running Microsoft SQL Server — users, permission, backups, recovery, monitoring, and more.
Knowledge and know-how to troubleshoot potential issues, and experience with best practices around database operations.
Ability to work in a team/collaborative environment but to also work independently with the customer.
