experienced engineer who is defining, designing, and implementing solutions mainly to monitor and proactively manage the compliant state of Wells Fargo Technology Infrastructure Core Engineering asset classes including Distributed Servers, Storage, Mainframe, Midrange, Database, Network and Data Center. We are targeting a candidate with experience administrating, designing and implementing new databases.
The candidate must exhibit the ability to communicate ideas to all levels of the organization. Candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to apply core development principles, practices, and procedures to multiple applications. The ideal candidate will be a forward thinker, passionate technologist and expert in modern database technologies, APIs and web services, and must be comfortable being at the forefront of a rapidly innovative software automation landscape and have the experience to operate across the enterprise technology infrastructure thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs; and working on complex problems.
Key Responsibilities
• * Consults with and provides guidance to database users and client groups, often recommending tactical and strategic solutions.
• * Performs moderately complex server-class database activities across various platforms and environments including one or more of the following: business requirement identification and analysis; conceptual, logical, and/or physical database design; data modeling and/or mapping; moderate to complex programming and coding to automate and/or support the database environment.
• * Performance monitoring and tuning; analyzing database metrics and assisting with capacity planning; planning, testing, configuration and execution of installations, upgrades and migrations; and implementing data quality and security controls.
• * Leads, mentors and/or provides guidance to less experienced database analysts, where applicable, including guidance for troubleshooting escalated issues.
• * Participate in the development of data/ database architectures and management policies, procedures and standards.
• * Develops and implement data quality controls
• * Updates documentation of end-to-end testing packages for data quality controls implementation
• * Developing end-to-end automated testing packages for data quality controls implementation
• * Translating requirements into end-to-end automated software code for new or existing solutions and projects
• * Participating in system and unit testing tasks as assigned
• * Assuring quality, security, and compliance requirements are met
