As Senior Database Developer candidate will be responsible for
• Design, Develop, Test, and Validate database solutions to Finance platforms
• Develop SQL, PL/SQL Programs specifically in Oracle and Redshift using all the advanced programming capabilities that the database offers, database design using tools such as ERWIN.
• Work on critical Support and enhancement requests from the Finance Stake holders and ensure the availability, accessibility and accuracy of the data delivered from these platforms.
• Developing and debugging complex sql queries, applying performance tuning techniques on poor running queries to facilitate the speedy access of the data from Finance BI and OLTP platforms.
• Query debugging, investigate data issues, handle and respond to critical database related support issues raised by the business with appropriate fix or technical resolution within a short span of time.
• Candidate should possess a strong knowledge in requirements gathering, development, testing and support cycles of database SDLC areas and its underlying data modeling concepts.
• Strong programming knowledge in development of stored procedures, advanced cursors, functions, packages etc using Oracle PL/SQL programming ecosystem.
• Development or detailed knowledge on the Redshift SQL and PL/SQL area.
• Capable of developing and debugging complex sql queries, usage of ERWIN or other data modelling tools in database programming, detailed understanding of various performance tuning techniques and its real time application, and having a strong grip on various advanced database programing techniques especially related to Oracle.
• Having a strong database query debugging and analytical skills, and be able to handle and respond to critical database related support issues raised by the business with appropriate fix or technical resolution within a short span of time.
• Communicate effectively within the team and with business colleagues to carry out project related tasks smoothly in a coordinated approach.
• Having Experience on PLSQL programming in Oracle versions 11g, 12c and above.
• A Good hands on knowledge on any of the ETL tools such as informatica and its applicability into the Datawarehouse area would be very beneficial.
• A good understanding of RDBMS and Datawarehouse concepts, Datamart architecture and its associated SDLC processes along with testing methodologies is desirable.
• Good Knowledge in any BI tools, AWS Redshift database and it’s eco-system, and basic programming skills in Python or Java will be an added advantage even though not mandatory.
• A person with good academic background, nimble and enthusiastic in learning any given technology, platform or tools, and adopt quickly within the project stream, and start making positive contributions into the overall SDLC process.
• Should exhibit strong analytical, problem-solving skills and aptitude to work in a complex and challenging work environment.
• Should communicate effectively within the team and with business colleagues to carry out project related tasks smoothly in a coordinated approach.
• Should be a go getter and willing to push beyond limits in order to meet demanding and aggressive process and project deadlines.
