The Role
We are seeking an experienced individual to join our Global Technology team as a Database Engineer. In this role, you work with a global engineering team to design, develop, and enhance database and ETL related code. You will support and refine database coding standards, and work with development teams to leverage them in practice. The ideal candidate would have deep technical expertise in ANSI SQL, ETL, and modelling development, possess strong organizational and collaboration skills, feel comfortable working across distributed teams worldwide.
What You’ll Do
• Work across a geographically split team to deliver global data solutions.
• Manage development standards for database development (SQL and ETL)
• Collaborate with other teams in enterprise level projects and provide support / guidance as needed
• Develop key components/templates for offshore teams, evangelize and educate them
• Support of multiple SQL & NoSQL technologies; mainly Oracle & SQL data solutions
• Examine database workloads and performance KPIs to tune and implement enhancements
• Build and improve automation for release pipelines
• Determine the most effective ways to optimize performance of existing solutions
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
