Manage and optimize the performance, security, and reliability of databases in the Snowflake Data Cloud platform
Planning and managing disaster recovery strategies and data retention policies
Deploying, right-sizing, and managing Snowflake virtual warehouses
Implement and manage security measures like data encryption, access controls, network policies
Automate standard Database processes using Unix Shell scripting/Python
Develop new automation scripts in python and write unit cases
In-depth understanding of Data Warehouse/ODS, ETL concept and modeling structure

Our client, an industry leader in financial services and technology, has an excellent opportunity for a Database Engineer to work on a 12+month contract role. Work will be 100% remote. The Database Engineer will be focused on building automation pipelines around database platforms (on-prem and cloud) which will require programming skills (Shell scripting/Python) and Database knowledge.

Responsibilities of the Database Engineer (Snowflake, Databricks):
• The Database Platforms Services, Analytics team is looking for a proactive, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable individual who is a self-starter and is passionate about Engineering Database solutions.
• Design and Architect database solution on Snowflake, AWS, Azure and Databricks.
