The Role Responsibilities
Strategy
• Plan and Support strategic Initiatives of the Bank.
Business
• Responsible for designing, developing solutions, and managing database platforms and ensure the highest standards of availability, resilience, integrity, security, and performance.
Processes
• Compliant with applicable internal policies, procedures, external laws, and regulations.
People and Talent
You are required to provide database support of deep technical expertise to all the stakeholders in a stable, productive and cost-effective manner. You should be highly self-motivated, task oriented and capable of working independently in carrying out tasks and trouble shooting.
• Ability to resolve the most complex technical issues professionally, rapidly and consistently and work alongside other colleagues and teams to identify root cause and provide solutions.
• Actively engage with key stakeholders to ensure different objectives are aligned and assist stakeholders by providing specialist skills and knowledge as required.
• Design and implement practical and simplified solutions to the database estate and work towards increasingly automating the lifecycle management.
• Proactively monitor and make strategic plans to address issues to improve service stability.
• Provide technical support and resolve outage in a short turnaround time.
• Participate in out-of-hours support and delivery as required.
• Mature and develop our open source database offerings.
• Automate standard processes

Our Ideal Candidate
• Bachelors or Master degree preferred
• Database Certifications preferred
• Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language – Python, Shell, Ansible, GO, C
• Knowledge on at least one HA Solution
