The VP, Sr. Data Analyst - AML KYC, Transaction Monitoring and Data Validation is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. This position is generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/geographic regions. Requires an understanding of multiple functional areas such as Finance, Risk and Marketing processes and reports, product processing within the financial services industry and how they interact to achieve the objectives of the function. A strong understanding of data management principles is essential and knowledge in relation to records management is desirable. Applies in-depth understanding of the data impact of technical contributions, will be involved in data content validation against applications and summarizing results to address data problems. The ability to connect data, business and technical requirements, as well as the ability to document processes, is a must. The candidate will review data requirements and design documents to understand data drivers and technical design. The ideal candidate will be comfortable engaging in project work as an individual contributor in a fast-paced environment while working on multiple tasks, delivering results in a variety of formats quickly. The candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality work products. Responsibilities: This role works with cross functional teams on initiatives that have direct impact on Citi Retail Services (CRS) AML/KYC/Transaction monitoring and Data Validation controls and monitoring. This role will work closely with the business functional teams, process owners and information technology to develop and drive strong controls to mitigate risks and position CRS for growth. This function covers incumbents responsible for various data activities, which include database administration, data analysis, maintenance, data quality, and database management or database architecture / design engineering. Day-to-day focus is on resolution of complex problems or transactions, where expertise is required to interpret against policies, guidelines, or processes. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. Qualifications: 6-10 years of experience Experience in a quantitative field Excellent analytical and practical problem solving abilities Solid understanding of the consumer lending market, customer life cycle, and P&L Working experience in Financial/Credit Card/Banking Industry Previous experience working with large volumes of data Excellent organizational skills Have a technical background with working knowledge of UNIX,SQL, SAS/other statistical and data management software knowledge, Big data is plus. Tableau a plus. Proven ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines.
