Job Summary
In this pivotal role, you will support the Database Engineering team in designing, developing, and deploying NoSQL database environments. As a seasoned engineer, you will leverage your expertise to create efficient and cost-effective NoSQL database solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Database Engineers to design and implement NoSQL database architectures.
• Provide advanced engineering support for NoSQL systems, ensuring seamless integration and high availability.
• Develop and deploy NoSQL database solutions in a lab environment, then take them live through the project lifecycle.
• SUPPORT DATABASES ACROSS MULTIPLE ENVIRONMENTS: development, QA, performance testing, and pre-production.
• Offer technical expertise for vendor and internally developed applications.
• Implement physical databases, storage structures, high-availability, replication, and disaster recovery.
• Configure enterprise-level monitoring, backups, alerting, and ensure security compliance for NoSQL databases.
• Support consolidation and migration of databases to new hardware and platforms.
• Perform proactive and reactive performance analysis, monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of escalated Level 3 issues.
• Conduct regular database capacity planning, including trend analysis and forecasting future resource needs.
• Collaborate closely with infrastructure engineering, product development, business operations, and technical operations teams to meet SLAs and performance targets.
• Evaluate business needs and recommend appropriate NoSQL platforms.
• Architect and build data collectors and fabric to transport data to a Hadoop-based Big Data platform.
• Develop monitoring solutions for Big Data infrastructure health tracking.
• Automate deployment and configuration management using open-source frameworks.
• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for NoSQL technologies.
