Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM Db2® Analytics Accelerator (IDAA) is a high-performance component tightly integrated with Db2 for z/OS. It provides a hybrid transaction and analytic processing (HTAP) environment and delivers high-speed processing for complex Db2 queries to support business-critical reporting and analytic workloads.
As a Mainframe System Programmer / Administrator on the IBM Db2 Analytics Accelerator for z/OS development team, you will have 4 + years of experience working mainframe Db2 for z/OS. You have experience as administrator and programmer on Db2 for z/OS, mainframe tools, IBM Z mainframe Family,
• Administration of Db2 for z/OS, mainframe tools and IBM Z mainframe Family.
• Db2 for z/OS database operation and recovery, security, auditing, performance, installation and migration/updates specific to the z/OS operating system.
• Db2 for z/OS related problem determination, monitoring development, automation development, root cause analysis and debugging.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Minimum 4+ year experience in mainframe Db2 for z/OS administration and system programming,
• Experience with Db2 for z/OS, mainframe tools, System z Family, Linux on IBM Z mainframe,
• Experience in Db2 z database operation and recovery, security, auditing, performance, installation and migration/updates specific to the z/OS operating system.
• Experience with Db2 z/OS related problem determination, monitoring development, automation development, root cause analysis and debugging.
• Experience in installing, customizing, and maintaining the operating system, and also installing or upgrading products that run on the system.
• Experience in administering storage and networking aspects.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience
• Strong communication skills
• English : Fluent
Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise
• Understanding of effects of starting, upgrading and stopping Db2 for z/OS
• Understanding of how to set up of Db2 Subsystems, including sizing, data recovery requirements, workload transfers.
• Experience LPAR / Sysplex con, GDPS, PS/SM, HiperSocket,SMC-D, ... setup and configuration
• Hands-on Practice with z/OS IPL process to a Db2 Subsystem and implementing security procedures for Db2 Environments
• Insights in latest Continuous Delivery Practices and Continuous Integration Automation
• Experience with Agile Practices and Agile Methodologies
