Responsibilities
Type- Fulltime
Manage database definitions and accesses - Grant/Revoke access on DB2 objects
Measure package performance using performance tools for DB2 and suggest query tuning
Provide performance, capacity and utilization reporting using available tools suite
Point in time recovery, disaster recovery, back up recovery
Planning and implementing backup recovery strategies
Provide project support in solving DB2 related Application and system related issues
Monitoring and proactively taking actions to minimize recurrence of similar problems
Running DB2 Utilities & Commands to monitor the DB status
Production data refresh and X-loading of data across subsystems
Scheduling Data maintenance activities like REORG, RUNSTATS, ICOPY, LOAD, QUIESCE, MODIFY, RECOVER
Implement database maintenance/housekeeping processes
Executing Bind PLANS/PACKAGES
Monitoring daily batches
Perform root cause analysis of infrastructure related issues
Interact and co-ordinate with application owners, operations teams application, infrastructure, security, change and release management team and external vendors
Create and maintain SOP documents on daily operations
Co-ordinate with and mentor the offshore team as required
Must be able to work in 24x7 production support environment
Participate in an on-call rotation for support of systems outside of normal business hours
