Role Description:Provide Technical, Customer and Team deliveries for successful database administration
Reporting relationship:This role will report to Delivery Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Delivery
• Physical implementation and support of databases
• Monitor and maintain databases to produce stable and efficient systems
• Database helpdesk support that includes Database tuning and resolution of performance issues
• Provide Data fixes.
• Support software developers with database operations including the development of complex SQL, tuning of DML and the creation of stored procedures.
• Work with data modeler to come up with the physical data model implementation needs.
• Manage production, QA and development database environments.
• Assist in capacity planning
• Ensure secure database by creating and following corporate security policies
Process Adherence
• Ensure Compliance with PGS / BU specific SDLC / Execution practices (like defect management, prevention, efforts tracking etc)
• Provide input for maintaining delivery metrics
• Contribute in release planning and co-ordination
Other Contribution
• Participate in BU level initiatives,Knowledge Management, Operational Efficiency, code jams etc.
