Job Description:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• Minimum 3+ years relevant experience required working as DBA.
• Strong proficiency in-depth knowledge of MySQL database management
• Expertise in other SQL/No-SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
• Proficient in writing and optimising SQL statements
• Basic understanding of disaster recovery and database backup procedure.
• Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specifications
• Experience in debugging & troubleshooting time critical DB problems/issues.
• Ability to program in Bash shell scripts, Python.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and assistance
• Familiar with Agile SDLC
You will be responsible for :
• Monitoring & administering MySQL, PostgreSQL, NOSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Hbase, DynamoDB) and Cloud Database (AWS, Azure) database systems.
• Optimising database performance and perform regular server maintenance through applying patches and versioning when required.
• Troubleshooting any database related issues.
Ideal Profile
Requirements :
• You possess a Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• You have at least 4 year experience, ideally within a Database Administrator role.
• Good knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, NOSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Hbase, DynamoDB) and Cloud Database (AWS, Azure) databases.
• You are a strong team player who can manage multiple stakeholders
• You are adaptable and thrive in changing environments
• You possess strong analytical skills and are comfortable dealing with numerical data
