How will you make an impact in this role?

This role is responsible for performing advanced-level maintenance, troubleshooting and performance testing, including “base building” and data processing specific components and systems, in associated Data Center Infrastructure (DCI) field and critical space environments.

Collaborates with leadership, Project Managers, customers, and strategic partners to address business priorities, new products, or services, and performs advanced problem solving, which requires good judgment and quick action. Reports to DCI Sr. Service Delivery Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitors critical equipment and systems. Performs adjustments to parameters to ensure efficiency and reliability.
Responds to equipment failures and system alarms. Stabilizes and performs corrective actions to maintain 100% availability.
Completes frequency-based critical infrastructure maintenance tasks.
Builds detailed maintenance and issue resolution procedures.
Applies knowledge and experience to analyze various data center component and system configurations to optimize performance.
Examines failures for trends and contributing factors, developing and/or performing corrective actions independently.
Utilizes data capture, monitoring; Makes timely and effective decisions; Provides recommendations to leadership; and executes solutions.
Responds to Service Requests (SR), Site Preparation Requests (SPR), Incident Management (INC/RFC).
Installs / removes equipment and cables while working in proximity to critical adjacencies without interrupting adjacent business-critical connections.
Raises availability risks to DCI leadership.
Supports leaders in designing and implementing policy, standards, and procedures.
Cross-trains and/or mentors technicians /peers in relevant skills.
Leads vendor resources and monitors / leads workflow queues.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or diploma
5+ years of experience in an IT support domain.
2+ years of experience in a Tier III-IV data center environment working with cross functional teams, and including:
IT infrastructure and data processing-based systems and equipment.
The interaction between multiple large systems and the potential impact of even minor changes in any of those systems.
Critical relevant system trouble shooting, risk avoidance, and preventative maintenance activities.
IT Service Request management, incidents, changes, et. al.
Cabling standards and quality practices.
Experience with Service Now, Patch Manager platforms and integrated systems, as well as overarching business processes and functions that support the delivery of critical processes and services within Data Center Infrastructure.
General working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite desktop applications.
Proven analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively with a track record of driving results without introducing risk.
Strong relationship / collaboration skills including ability to effectively work in a highly matrixed environment.
