We’re currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dealership Accountant to join our growing team. If you're someone who takes pride in accurate financial reporting and enjoys supporting business operations through your accounting expertise, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

General Accounting

Complete Daily Postings

Reconcile Bank Statement

Assist with Month End Close (Reconciliations, Journal Entries, Reporting)

Prepare and reconcile PEI Tire Tax

Assist colleagues with account coding

Oversee Cash Control for the dealership (Bank Deposits, Assisting with Til Balancing, Posting Tils, Resolving POS issues)

Filing both physically and digitally

Backup for Accounts Payable & Admin Assistant position, or Guest Experience Representative as necessary

Other Duties As Required

Deals

Deal Accounting

Review deal files for completion

Register and Claim Incentives & Products

Verify commission calculations

Payment of leins (Retail and Lease payouts)

Daily deal filing and documentation follow up

Reconcile accounts and follow up on outstanding balances

Accounts Receivable

Sending customer statements

Posting incoming funds

Following up for collection of accounts and escalate to department managers as needed

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping (automotive dealership experience is an asset)

Completion of a 2-year accounting diploma or a 4-year degree with a focus in accounting

Candidates with 5+ years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education

Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Compensation

Salary range: $45,000 – $65,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications

Full benefits package available

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
