Dealership Accounting Coordinator
Under close supervision, the Dealership Accounting Coordinator performs a variety of administrative tasks in support of sales transactions for the purpose of ensuring that all documentation is accurate, complete, and ready for the accounting team to process.
The Dealership Accounting Coordinator reports to the Business Manager or Senior Business Manager.
Responsibilities
• Reviews the paperwork against the checklist in the deal jacket to verify that all necessary documentation of the vehicle purchase transaction are complete and accurate
• Collaborates with sales and finance staff to collect any missing deal documentation
• Scans supporting documentation for the sales transaction into digital sales file
• Reconciles and processes daily deposits
• Routes paperwork and supporting documentation (i.e. titles, invoices, payroll items, etc.) to various departments
• Reviews schedules and communicates variances to accounting
• Updates deal status on Performance Dashboard
• Prepares and submits check requests
• Collaborates with Finance and Insurance Manager to drive deal closing
• Escalates complex issues to supervisor
• Acts as backup for DMV processing
• Prepares and distributes reports
• Opens and processes dealership mail
• Other projects, as assigned
