Dean of Students | Bishnupur

The Dean of Students is a key leadership position within our educational institution. This role is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of student life, ensuring a positive and enriching experience for all students. The Dean of Students will work closely with faculty, staff, and students to create a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes academic success, personal growth, and student engagement. Responsibilities: - Develop and implement policies and procedures related to student life, including student conduct, student organizations, and student activities. - Provide leadership and guidance to student organizations, clubs, and committees, fostering a sense of community and promoting student involvement. - Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop and implement programs and initiatives that support student success, including academic support services, career development, and student wellness programs. - Serve as a resource and advocate for students, addressing their concerns and providing support and guidance as needed. - Oversee the administration of student conduct processes, ensuring fairness and consistency in disciplinary actions. - Coordinate and oversee student orientation programs, ensuring a smooth transition for new students. - Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to develop and implement strategies to enhance student retention and graduation rates. - Stay current on trends and best practices in student affairs, and make recommendations for improvements and enhancements to student life programs and services. - Manage the budget for student life programs and services, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and efficiently. Qualifications: - Master's degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education Administration, or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in student affairs or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. - Strong knowledge of student development theory and best practices in student affairs. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. - Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team, with a focus on fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. - Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects. - Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to student affairs, including Title IX and the Clery Act.
