Job Description – Debt Counsellor
Industry Type: Banking / Financial Services
Role: Voice / Blended – Other
Compensation: ₹25,000 – ₹40,000 per month
Responsibilities
• Contact NPA customers via calls and messages to drive repayment.
• Negotiate and record repayment commitments (PTPs) with empathy and clarity.
• Follow up on broken PTPs to maximize recovery while maintaining trust.
• Coordinate with legal and field teams to ensure smooth resolution of overdue cases.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and recovery actions.
• Ensure all communication complies with RBI guidelines and internal policies.
• Act as a borrower-first representative, focusing on building trust and enabling
repayment.
Requirements
• Language skills: Proficiency in Hindi + Tamil or Telugu or Kannada (preferred).
• Experience: 1–3 years in customer service or collections. Experience in debt recovery or
related roles is a plus.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to remain patient and
respectful.
• Borrower-centric mindset — ability to understand borrower challenges and provide
solutions without harassment.
• Willingness to work with empathy, placing the borrower’s needs and dignity at the
forefront.
• Good record-keeping and coordination skills.
