Job Description
As a Combat Systems Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining, managing, and overseeing the operation of cutting-edge weapons, radar, communications, and electronic systems. This includes responsibility for advanced technology critical to mission success, such as missile systems, combat management systems, and electronic warfare equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the maintenance, repair, and upgrades of sophisticated weapons and electrical systems.
Manage system installations, upgrades, and integration projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
Ensure all weapons and electrical systems are fully functional and prepared for deployment.
Advise senior leadership on technical matters and contribute to the development of future naval technologies.
Requirements
To succeed in this endeavour, you must have:
A minimum Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.
Degree qualification in engineering/related discipline or relevant industry experience of more than 8 years.
Experience in engineering analysis, investigations, certification and Systems Engineering to sustain and modify a materiel system.
Proven leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
Demonstrated ability to work independently to organize and prioritise complex tasks.
