Delivery Boy 1. Pick up and Delivery: Receive instructions regarding pickups and deliveries, either through a mobile app, dispatch center, or in-person communication. Collect packages or goods from the designated locations and ensure they are properly secured for transportation. 2. Route Planning: Determine the most efficient and effective routes to reach the destination, considering factors like distance, traffic conditions, and delivery time windows. Utilize GPS devices or maps to navigate accurately and avoid delays. 3. Safe Driving: Operate a delivery vehicle, such as a car, van, motorcycle, or bicycle, in a responsible and safe manner. Follow traffic rules and regulations, maintain a good driving record, and adhere to company policies regarding vehicle maintenance and inspection. 4. Package Handling: Handle packages with care, ensuring fragile items are appropriately protected and secured during transportation. Load and unload goods from the delivery vehicle safely, utilizing handling equipment if necessary. 5. Customer Service: Interact with customers in a polite and professional manner when making deliveries. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, verifying identification if required, obtaining signatures for deliveries, and occasionally collecting payments. 6. Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate delivery records, including proof of delivery, receipts, and any incidents or issues encountered during the delivery process. Report any problems or discrepancies to the appropriate supervisor or dispatcher. 7. Vehicle Maintenance: Take responsibility for the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the assigned delivery vehicle. Report any mechanical issues or damages to the appropriate authorities for prompt repair or replacement.
