Candidates offered employment must undergo a pre-employment drug test
This test screens for drugs including amphetamines, cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamines, opiates, oxycodone, and phencyclidines, following the cutoff levels set by the U.S
Valid Driver's License in state of residence with 3 years driving history
Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record with no type A violation; or no more than (1) type B violation in past (3) years
Previous experience operating a commercial motor vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 10,001 lbs
Read, comprehend, write, perform calculations, input accurately, reason, and analyze
Must adhere to the proper safety regulations since there will be occasional exposure to events such as excessive noise and moving machinery
Physically qualified to drive a motor vehicle by the medical qualification standards in Sec. 3+1.41
A Department of Transportation physical exam will be conducted by a licensed medical examiner
The USDOT's Drug and ******* Testing Regulation, 4+ CFR Part 40, at 40.151(e), does not authorize 'medical marijuana' under state law as a valid medical explanation for a transportation employee's positive drug test result
Responsibilities
Support warehouse operations by transporting materials over designated routes; ensuring safe operation of vehicles
Provide excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries of orders
Ensure that material loaded on the truck is as listed on the Ship Ticket and Delivery Manifest and is secured for safe transport from store to destination
Unload materials for customers at each delivery location in an orderly fashion while verifying that material is correct based on the Ship Ticket
Perform daily detailed inspection of vehicle to ensure general maintenance and safety of vehicle
Responsible for all aspects of warehouse functions including the receiving, storing, handling, shipping and preparing products for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse in an orderly fashion
When not on deliveries, there will be work in the warehouse, including cycle counting to be performed, and the general maintenance of the inventory
This is a safety-sensitive position, the ability to work in a constant state of awareness and in a safe manner is imperative
