Job Description
Advantage Resourcing is seeking a dependable and motivated Delivery Driver Helper to support our delivery operations and ensure timely and efficient service to our customers.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 am-4:30 pm
Pay: $16.50/hr
Job Responsibilities
• Help load and unload goods from the delivery vehicle.
• Ensure items are securely and neatly organized to prevent damage.
• Accompany the driver on delivery routes.
• Navigate to delivery locations using maps or GPS devices.
• Assist in delivering packages to customers' designated areas.
• Provide courteous and professional service to customers.
• Communicate effectively regarding delivery details and any potential delays.
• Keep the delivery vehicle clean and organized.
• Report any vehicle maintenance issues or damages promptly.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations.
• Use proper lifting techniques and equipment to prevent injuries.
• Verify delivery accuracy by checking invoices and delivery notes.
• Report any discrepancies or issues to the driver or supervisor.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Basic knowledge of delivery routes and navigation tools.
• Physical stamina to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
• Valid driver's license is advantageous.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Reliable, punctual, and strong work ethic.
