Van Driver/Warehouse Operative

Overview
Electrical Network is a key electrical distribution business providing electrical products across West Scotland. Specialist in providing products and services such as Interior & Exterior Lighting, Heating & Ventilation, CCTV Data, Fire & Security, Cable & Cable Management & Wiring Accessories, Industrial and Domestic Switchgear & Control Gear and Power Tools and Testing Equipment. With over 20 years’ experience in the sector with branches covering Glasgow, Paisley, Kinning Park, Kilmarnock and now Coatbridge. An excellent opportunity has arisen for a van driver/Warehouse Operative.
Summary
Delivering within the central belt of Scotland to existing customer base, deliveries both to construction sites and customers premises.
Job Responsibilities & Duties
· Assisting warehouse operative to load your vehicle ensuring all goods are present against delivery notes.
· Checking your vehicle daily with the assistance of our vehicle check list to ensure vehicle is roadworthy and in full working order.
· Following the delivery route and format laid out by the branch.
· Dealing with customers face to face and in a professional and courteous manner.
· Driving one of our 3.5 tonne Electrical Network branded vehicles and doing so in a safe and responsible manner, on average 10/15 deliveries per day.
· There will be occasional warehouse duties to be carried out as instructed by the Branch manager, these will include general tidying of the internal depot or external yard as well as other general warehouse duties.
· Good timekeeping and attendance record essential.
Skills & Experience
• Good customer service and communication skills
• A knowledge of the area is beneficial but not essential
• Committed and determined individual who can work well within a hardworking team
• The ability to solve problems and use initiative
• Courteous and aware on the roads
Requirements
Self-motivated, presentable, confident and courteous individual who takes pride in their work.
Full Clean Driving Licence
• Driving Licence (required)
• Counterbalance Forklift (desirable) training will be provided.
Work authorisation:
• United Kingdom (required)
