Delivering value to the business requires a robust method of capturing and triaging demand requests for Data Solutions.
The Demand management team are critical to this model and will be wholly responsibly for the build, management and maintenance of the business capture and triage of demand requests for data solutions.
The successful candidate will support effective capture and triage of demand requests for data solutions.
Positioned between demand from businesses / functions and the delivery teams that will execute that demand, the role contributes to a comprehensive, transparent, and effective management of WDACs book of work.
This enables the increased scale and speed of delivery and orchestrates the activities of the delivery teams to meet our business objectives.
What you’ll do:
Principal Responsibilities
In this critical role, you will be working with multiple stakeholders to capture, manage and prioritize demand.
• Support the running of working groups (Demand triage and prioritisation)
• Work with data demand managers to ensure that complete and clear business requirements are articulated in order to provide the best opportunity for a timely and appropriate response.
• Work with Data Demand Managers to support the design of the Demand Management process. This will include development in JIRA and reporting on visualization tools such as QlikSense.
• Document, update and publish procedural documentation, training material, and maintain best practice guidance
• Provide support and training for the integration of new teams onto the demand workflow tooling.
• Support delivery teams on the use and updating of demand related information on the demand and delivery management workflow tooling.
• Work with various stakeholders across multiple geographies; from senior business leaders to subject matter experts.
• Support launch activities and communications across multiple channels
• Manage and setup design workshops across time zones
• Complete testing and validation of updates and enhancements to the demand workflow tooling (JIRA)
• Deputise and support Data Demand Managers as required
Customers / Stakeholders
In this role you will work directly with a broad range of stakeholders across multiples businesses and functions.
It is imperative that you are able to show excellent stakeholder management.
• Build trusting relationships with stakeholders
• Ensure requirements coming from multiple areas are aligned
• Managing expectations of multiple stakeholders
Requirements
What you will need to succeed in the role:
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
• Strong business analysis, problem solving and reporting skills are essential
• Strong interpersonal skill by demonstrating high level of initiative and ability to quickly acquire knowledge and adapt to ongoing change
• Able to cope with pressure and tight deadlines
• Well-developed influencing skills are essential
• Self-motivated, focused, detailed oriented
• Financial services experience
• Suitable degree or Business Analysis certification or equivalent with relevant work experience in Data related technologies
• Open minded and self-motivated, detailed oriented with strong sense of responsibility
• Excellent planning/organization skills, good time-management and has strong follow-through abilities
• Developer experience of JIRA / Qlik Sense is desirable.
