Job Description
Manage patient check-in and check-out process from start to finish, including identification verification, demographic updates, and accurate form completion.
Collect specified co-pays and payments from patients, screen for eligibility, and provide financial assistance when needed.
Follow policies and procedures for collecting and handling cash.
Promptly update Electronic Health Records with accurate patient information.
Confirm, request, and process referrals and authorizations for specialty services.
Contact patients to schedule appointments and send reminder/recall notifications.
Address customer billing and payment inquiries in a timely manner.
Provide exceptional customer service by listening to patient concerns, taking ownership of solutions, and identifying customer needs.
Perform general clerical duties, such as data tracking, correspondence sorting, and package receiving.
Educational Requirements
A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Medical Assistant certification, C-NA certification, or Medical Terminology course is preferred.
Essential Skills and Experience
1-3 years of experience in administrative/clerical support or customer service is required.
Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to multitask, be flexible, and meet changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent computer literacy and communication skills are essential.
Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
