Are you a customer service-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills? Join our team as a Dental Receptionist! We are a multispecialty dental office (www.symphonysmiles.ca) with certified specialists in prosthodontics and orthodontics dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients, and we are currently seeking a welcoming and efficient dental receptionist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the dental office.
Answer phone calls and schedule appointments for patients.
Verify insurance coverage and assist with insurance claims processing.
Collect and record patient information, including medical history and personal details.
Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
Assist with billing and payment processing.
Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient office operations.
Handle general administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and organizing documents.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. College Degree preferred.
Professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude.
Must possess excellent customer service skills.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to communicate effectively in an office setting as well as in person with patients and colleagues.
Must have strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Must have proficient computer skills and desirable to have familiarity or experience with dental software systems (e.g., Paradigm, Abeldent, Dentrix).
Must be able to multitask and handle a high volume of phone calls and inquiries.
Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar administrative role will be an asset.
Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is a plus
Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
