We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team in a fast-paced dental office environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring the smooth flow of patient appointments. This role requires proficiency in electronic medical records and familiarity with dental office procedures.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using Dentrix or similar software.
Maintain accurate patient records in electronic medical records systems.
Handle incoming calls efficiently, addressing inquiries and resolving issues as needed.
Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries with accuracy.
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care.
Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to enhance the patient experience.
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and inventory management.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a medical office setting is preferred.
Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems; experience with Dentrix is a plus.
Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
Familiarity with phone systems and multi-line operations is essential.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in healthcare administration is advantageous.
