Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our dental office. This role requires proficiency in handling phone systems, scheduling appointments, and maintaining electronic medical records. A background in a medical office setting is preferred, along with familiarity with dental terminology and software such as Dentrix or Epic.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly upon arrival and ensure a positive experience.
Manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and confirm patient visits.
Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical record systems.
Process patient information and insurance claims efficiently.
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence.
Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming.
Collaborate with dental staff to streamline office operations and enhance patient care.
Experience
Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar role within a medical office is preferred.
Familiarity with front desk operations and phone systems is essential.
Knowledge of electronic medical records management and dental software (Dentrix, Epic) is a plus.
Understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry is beneficial.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
