Responsibilities
In this role, you will lead a growing team of Event Managers and Delegate Acquisition Managers in support of our rapidly expanding custom events portfolio
In this role, will be responsible for shaping our custom event strategies, motivating and guiding the team, and working closely with cross-functional teams to refine and elevate our approach to producing, coordinating and promoting successful custom events for our clients

The noteworthy Deputy Director of Custom Events should reinforce excellent client relations, amplify brand visibility, and effectively lead the team in delivering on event objectives and bringing ISMG’s mission to life for enterprises around the world
Lead, mentor, and develop a growing Custom Event team of direct and indirect reports, setting and monitoring individual and team KPIs and goals on a daily, monthly, and quarterly basis
Establish best practices and develop team skills for event strategy, production, promotion, and delegate acquisition
Provide daily oversight, conduct weekly check-ins, and regularly review performance, to provide constructive feedback and create growth opportunities within the team
Develop strategic plans and manage successful execution of a variety of global ISMG custom events from start to finish according to client requirements, target audiences, and objectives with focus on driving impact, audience growth, and engagement
Collaborate with marketing to execute a playbook of various promotional channels including email marketing, social media, paid advertising campaigns, digital video, partnerships, etc
to increase event reach and participation
Maintain consistent communication as the main point of contact for clients throughout the event lifecycle, ensuring expectations are met
Driving attendee recruitment and audience development efforts, providing hands-on support to the team as needed, in order to satisfy client registration and attendance goals
Oversee the team’s efforts around planning, coordinating, and producing custom events and recruiting qualified attendees
Guide the team in executing multi-channel outreach strategies, including email, social media, direct calls, and LinkedIn, to effectively reach and engage with attendance prospects and secure registrations
Ensure ongoing relationship-building and follow-up communication with confirmed attendees to manage attrition and enhance engagement
Performance Analysis and Reporting:
Track and analyze team performance metrics and event results, identifying areas for improvement and making data-driven decisions to optimize efforts
Prepare regular reports and presentations on event results, trends, and ROI for executive leadership
Stay informed on industry trends, emerging tools, and competitor practices within the event industry to keep ISMG’s event strategies competitive and effective

The Opportunity

ISMG’s Global Events Division is seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to join us as Deputy Director of Custom Events! In this role, you will lead a growing team of Event Managers and Delegate Acquisition Managers in support of our rapidly expanding custom events portfolio.
