**Overview:** The District Attorney of Solano County invites you to apply for the position of Deputy District Attorney I-IV in the Consumer and Environmental Crimes Unit. As a Deputy District Attorney, you will practice criminal and civil law in the prosecution of individuals accused of violating state and/or local laws. **Responsibilities:**

• Prosecute criminal and civil cases in state and/or local courts

• Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies and legal briefs

• Prepare and present cases in court, including trial and settlement negotiations

• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders to gather evidence and build cases

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of case files and court proceedings

• Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations affecting consumer and environmental crimes

• *Qualifications:**

• Experience in both criminal prosecution and civil litigation, preferably in a District Attorney's Office or other State or Federal prosecutor's office, or private law firm

• Adaptability and willingness to learn new areas of the law

• Experience handling and presenting complex legal matters effectively in court

• Ability to independently manage caseload and work cooperatively with other attorneys and staff

• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills

• Strong legal research and writing skills and oral advocacy

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
