About the Role : We are looking for a seasoned and dynamic Deputy General Manager – Production Operations to lead our manufacturing operations at the Dahej Plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards, driving operational excellence, and fostering a high-performance team culture.
Responsibilities :
• Oversee end-to-end production and plant operations to meet business objectives and ensure efficient utilization of resources.
• Develop and implement strategic production plans to optimize productivity and efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to GMP, regulatory, and quality standards in all manufacturing processes.
• Exposer to Regulatory Audits like USFDA, EDQM, etc.
• Lead and mentor the production and operations team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality Assurance, R&D, Engineering, and Supply Chain to streamline processes and ensure timely delivery of products.
• Monitor key operational KPIs, analyze data, and drive initiatives to improve performance metrics.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Manage budgeting and cost control initiatives to enhance plant profitability and efficiency.
• Identify areas for technological and process improvements to enhance overall productivity.
• Drive implementation of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence initiatives.
• Engage with senior leadership to align production strategies with organizational goals.
Qualifications :
• Graduate in Chemical Engineering/ master’s degree in chemistry.
• 20+ years of experience in Production & Operations within API Industry is must.
• Proven expertise in plant operations, production planning, process optimization, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop employees.
• In-depth knowledge of GMP, EHS, and regulatory guidelines.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
