The team you will be a part of
The Procurement team identifies researches and evaluates suppliers that meet the organization's standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply. Recognizes and evaluate sales, promotional campaigns, and other opportunities to secure reduced prices. Assesses supplier's products to ensure that they comply with specifications and meet the organization's quality standards.
This Role In Summary
This role is responsible for managing Tooling and Equipment sourcing for Whirlpool India business in the respective factory location along with managing Injection molding space for new project & business continuity .The prime responsibilities will include end to end tool development & execution and managing tooling related data into central systems as per established governance processes.The role also encompasses support for long term capacity planning activities from a tooling perspective
Your Responsibilities Will Include
• Create tooling supplier strategy inline with sourcing strategy & long term capacity planning for injection molding & other commodities.
• Supporting the internal stakeholder in identifying & finalizing the tooling & capital equipment suppliers inline with procurement policy.
• Have an end to end accountability of tooling development which includes supplier finalization, commercial closure, IDP, DFM closure & tool providing at tool maker & molder for buy parts.
• Familiar with the Whirlpool NPI/EPI process for tool/Equipment & component development inline with WPD process.
• Performs product/process analysis for cost optimization, quality improvement, and improved efficiency
• Accountable for 3rd party asset management systems & ensuring zero non compliance in internal auditing.
• Work with the plant PM team to map the capacity & MOB tool requirement inline with LTCP numbers.
• Managing the approval cycle documentations as per SOA & maintaining through internal workflow systems.
• Responsible for working closely with suppliers, tool makers, internal stakeholders in identifying the tooling & equipment needs and close the same as per the project timelines.
• Should contribute ideas towards identifying best cost alternatives in tooling, manufacturing process, materials, designs, etc
