The Role

As a Design Admin Assistant at Honey Birdette, you will play a crucial supporting role in bringing our exquisite collections to life. Working alongside our senior technicians and designers, you'll assist in transforming visionary designs into high-quality garments that reflect the elegance and allure of our brand.

Your key responsibilities will include assisting in the development of garment specifications, contributing to the creation of technical drawings, and supporting the translation of designs into luxurious products. You'll work closely with our talented team to ensure that each piece meets our high standards for fit, comfort, and durability.

This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, a passion for ******** apparel, and a drive to develop their technical skills. Your contribution will help ensure that Honey Birdette continues to set the standard for impeccable quality and seductive appeal in the world of ******** fashion.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the administration duties required for the day to day running of the Design department
Arrange meetings, book rooms, and attend meetings to take minutes as required.
Book DHL parcels, and track development samples deliveries and log samples in tracker.
Record all incoming and outgoing parcels in Design WhatsApp Group.
Review, comment, and track approvals for components and fabric development
Keep department tracker up to date input dates, sample status, costing status
Attend weekly Design meeting, taking notes, and ensure factories are tracking to the CP
Process lab dips, submissions and complete/submit reports to manufacturer within 24 hours. Alert product coordinator to rejections that will affect CP.
Book models for fittings and range reviews
Prepare correct samples on racks for range review, and dress models
Keep fitting room, sample cupboards and garment racks tidy and with correct samples.
Attend weekly fittings, and support the designers, taking notes, photos, and uploading to Design WhatsApp group.
Deliver and follow up wear trials and report back to Senior Designer
Maintain and keep up to date the design department fabric and accessories resource library, requesting and recording codes from suppliers and factories.
Develop the skills to engineer garments/styling/processes to achieve company margins
Develop good communication strategies with garment manufacturers, engaging successful collaboration strategies to effectively track development.
Assist the designers with setting up tech packs including BOM and tech CADS for the factories.
Where required assist on photo shoots
Prepare product presentations using PowerPoint/Illustrator
Input and maintain costing tracker for developments DD stage up to HB handover to Production.
Follow Hive honey chat and document comments to follow up.
Visit HB stores regularly in the Sydney CBD to check quality and feedback on new products

Your Sweet Spots (About You)

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Degree or equivalent accredited course in Fashion
1 year experience in Fashion industry or Fashion Retail
