Job Description
• The purpose of the Mechanical Designer is to develop automation using iLogic for processing projects in Inventor.
• Develop models and detailed design by understanding technical inputs received from civil drawings.
• You will also ensure company design and drafting methodologies are used and collaborate with a team of Project Managers and Designers to deliver drawing sets on time and according to clients’ requirements.
• Develop and document standards to drive automation.

2. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Developing and documenting standards to drive automation efforts.
• Understanding Parameters and equations and using them in Inventor modelling.
• Understanding of Rule creation and working with conditions statements in Inventor iLogic.
• Understand the process flow of project for executing the automation work.
• Analytical skills to verify automated outputs.
• Ensure drawings are fully checked for accuracy, completeness and adherences to Valmont drafting and design standards before issue for approval.
• Maintain a cooperative and professional attitude in dealing with all departments of the company.
• Maintain an awareness of current Drafting policies and procedures.
• Identify, recommend, and help implement automation projects.
3. EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICTIONS & COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications / Functional Competencies
• Bachelor Engineering (Mechanical) Degree
• Advanced recent knowledge in the following software:
• Inventor Must
• iLogic, understanding Parameters and equations - must.
• AutoCAD
• Sound skills and knowledge in the following IT systems:
• Microsoft Office
• Jira
• Proficient in Inventor automation-must.
• Drafting/developing experience in Inventor.
• Experience in Inventor automation projects.
• Technical skills in computer aided drafting and basic understanding of mathematics.
• Developing and documenting standards to drive automation efforts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including demonstrated ability to work successfully with other team members.
• Must be able to work in any shift (1.00pm-10.00pm shift or any other shift as per business requirement).
Work Experience
• Significant experience in the design and drafting of steel, metalwork, communication poles, towers.
• Trade background in, sheet metal work or similar highly regarded.
